A look inside

This is the actual app

Not a mockup — these are real screens from Ritudhara. Pick one to see it.

The bigger picture

Women's health has many problems to solve.

Hygiene access, education, nutrition, stigma, healthcare — each is a real battle, and no single app can honestly claim to fight them all.

  • Access to affordable hygiene products
  • Menstrual health education and awareness
  • Nutrition and anaemia in adolescent girls
  • Stigma that keeps girls out of school
  • Access to gynaecological care
Our primary focus

We're solving one of them with technology — and solving it well.

Ritudhara focuses on cycle awareness and data dignity: giving every woman a private, respectful way to know and own her rhythm, in her own language. Awareness is where self-ownership begins — so that's the one problem we've chosen, and we won't be distracted from it.

Why this app had to exist

The problem

Most period tracking apps are built for Western women, in English, with cloud-first architectures. In India, 30%+ of women aged 15–24 still lack access to proper menstrual hygiene information (NFHS-5, 2020–21). The apps that exist have repeatedly been caught mishandling intimate data.

The gap

No Indian-first, offline-first, multilingual, privacy-structural period app exists at scale. Flo settled with the FTC in 2021 for sharing user data without consent. 61% of period apps shared data with Facebook (Privacy International, 2019). Indian women deserve better.

The solution

Ritudhara is built structurally for privacy — not as a feature, but as architecture. Your data never leaves your phone by default. Your consent is kept as a tamper-proof record no one can quietly change. The key to your data is only ever yours.

Privacy as architecture

Your data never has to trust us — because we never hold it.

  • Zero network calls on a fresh installVerified by intercepting traffic in testing. Nothing phones home, because there is no home to phone.
  • Encrypted before it is storedEverything you log is sealed on your device with AES-256 the moment you tap save.
  • Consent you can verifyEvery permission you give becomes a permanent, tamper-proof record — checkable by you, changeable by no one.
  • Even we cannot read itCloud Locker encrypts on your phone before upload. Mahakarshan stores ciphertext and holds no key.
